Model Number	First off, let me start by saying that I really love my Burley and it gets used almost every day. I would go as far as to say it’s been almost life changing in how it opens up adventuring possibilities with the kiddo. However, I am feeling very frustrated with what I perceive as a design flaw that is leading to very questionable durability. I have had this thing for a month and it has already developed a tear on the bottom of the frame. This would be understandable if I was thrashing it around, but I am quite careful and take good care of it. I contacted Burley expressing my concern and they claim that it’s due to “normal wear and tear from storage or dragging over high clearance objects such as curbs or speedbumps”. It has not come off my bike since I got it, so it’s not a storage issue and I don’t go over any huge bumps that would hit the frame, I mean I’m riding around with my kid back there, duh. Literally the worst it could have been subjected to is a couple minor bumps. So now I’m left with advice from Burley to apply heavy duty protective tape to prevent further tearing. Here’s an idea for Burley, how about YOU put something heavy duty down there so it doesn’t rip in the first couple weeks of ownership. Oh well, I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.
Color	I’ve had this for almost two years now and have taken it on dozens of rides, on bike trails and offroad, sometimes on very rough terrain with no troubles at all. Other than a few minor quibbles, I find it easily the best bike trailer I’ve ever used (and I have three.) Here’s now the Honey Bee trailer from Burley breaks down.Pros:- Plenty of room for two kids to sit with comfort and space- Looks very sharp on the trail and I get lots of questions and comments about it- Folds down quite flat and all parts (the pulling arm and wheels) fit conveniently inside folded trailer for storage- The kids find the Honey Bee very comfortable to both sit and sleep in for hours at a time- The dark tinted windows are very spacious and afford the kids a terrific, clear panoramic view- The storage in the back is quite generous and I almost never run out of space- Foot brake is easy to use and effective (though it can’t really be used while moving)- Inside pockets by each child are convenient for holding toys (but not quite large enough for snack cups)- Trailer doubles as a stroller that even works well off road as long as the weight is light (too heavy and the front wheel folds on you)- Waterproof as it gets. Had several huge downpours and the kids stayed nice and dry behind the rain shield- Very lightweight yet strong. Picks up easy, though taking off the arm for storage may be hard for some- Tires come off and go back on extremely easily with a single push button- Nice adjustable stroller arm on top that’s convenient for holding an action cam too- Nice wheel bumper guides that make it gentler for the kids if you accidentally hit a post or somethingCons:- The seat belt snaps are just too close to the bottom. I’ve cut my finger three times under the nail rooting around under a kid to get the belts on or off. There’s something flat and sharp on the belts that cuts me. I also have to lean almost all the way into the trailer to get them off. A chest strap would be much more preferable.- It’s really hard to get the hitch rod inserted into the bike receiver. It’s not tapered at the bottom and so requires lubrication and considerable fiddling and force every time to get inserted. I think it’s due to the extra wide safety strap on this version of the rod as I have the same hitch mechanism on other Burley trailers that I have, yet have never had a problem before. I filed down the rod end so it tapers more and it works well now.- The adjustable stroller handle on top is a dream, but doesn’t hold under much force and slips easily even when locked. If you’re pushing the trailer into a truck using the handle or worse, pushing it as a stroller off road with some weight in it (two kids + cargo space full), the handle easily slips all the way and just isn’t very usable.- Doesn’t come with a storage bag. And the one Burley makes looks very nice hanging on the wall with the trailer inside, but is just a bit too flimsy for sustained use, so be very gentle with it.For me, the pros of this trailer far outweigh the few cons. I do look forward to another iteration that fixes the very tiny issues with otherwise stellar bike trailer for two kids.
Material	I bought a single BOB stroller thinking that my four year old could walk or ride her bike while my ten month old rode in the stroller. The four year old wasn’t having it and REALLY wanted to ride, too. Rather than buying a double BOB (which seemed insane after I just shelled out the cash for a single) I thought I’d get a double bike trailer- two birds one stone!I researched all of the options obsessively and finally decided on the Burley Honey Bee and I’m THRILLED with my choice. Now, to be fair I have to say I’ve yet to pull it behind a bike, but it’s an awesome double jogging stroller.What I love about it:1. It is incredibly easy to push and steer even one handed with two kiddos inside. I’ve run with it, and I’ve pushed it while also holding an umbrella- easy peasy.2. It’s comfortable for the kiddos. It’s a snug fit, but they both love it. There’s never any fussing or complaining and as a result I’ve had to extend many a walk because it provides rare moments of peace and quiet (y’all know what I’m talking about). They both fall asleep more often than not.3. It can handle the weather. We’re in the Pacific Northwest and this keeps the kiddos dry without sacrificing their view. And as mentioned above, it’s so easy to push/steer one handed I get to stay Dry too because I can easily hold an umbrella for myself- score!4. Serves as a double jogging stroller. Every bit as stable and maneuverable as my BOB for this purpose.Cons (kinda had to reach here because it really is so fantastic):1. It’s a bit weird looking with the front wheel being on that long bar2. The safety flag can’t be up in stroller mode or it’ll whack you in the face (though it can be easily stowed, so calling this a con is a stretch)3. The front wheel is hard plastic so it can be a bit noisy pushing it on bumpy sidewalks.4. I wish there was also the option to add two stroller wheels instead of the long bar like some other Burley models because as it is you can’t really bring it inside anywhere because it’s so long.5. Opening it up the first time was difficult. Not complicated, but difficult requiring the strength of two of us.Again, I can’t stress enough how much I love this thing and even in the winter weather I’m using it almost daily. Worth every penny, even without using it for its primary intended purpose (as a bike trailer).
