Model Number	I got an instep Kiddo trailer 2nd hand and it didn’t come with the coupler.I looked at the diagram here, and I talked to 2 different people from instep, and they both suggested the flat coupler based on the model and date code information on the trailer. I really didn’t get it, because the trailer arm obviously comes in at a 45 degree angle to the bike, not 90 degrees.So i disregarded the advice of the people i talked to, and ignored the pictures on this listing telling you how to choose the right coupler and just got the angled one. It worked out perfectly. I still don’t understand in what world the straight one would be a better choice for this trailer. Maybe mine is a fluke, or maybe I’m not using it right, but ive got on 2 decent rides and it works great. I would have had to bend the spring quite a bit to get it into a flat coupler.Anyway, besides that, its easy to install, sturdy, and works great. I used it on a 29″ Trek Xcaliber mountain bike and it fit like a charm.
Color	The coupler that came with my InStep trailer did not fit on my Trek X-Caliber 8 mountain bike. This coupler fits just fine, and there is actually a little room and clears that area just fine. I was glad this fits and that I did not have to make a custom coupler!
Material	Used it for my Schwinn double carrier. Worked perfectly. It’s extremely simple to initially put on, and easy to detach/attach the carrier. The instructions it came with were overwhelming, so I just used YouTube to figure it out-which took maybe 5 mins tops. I ended up finding the one it actually came with, and they are identical. Plus, this one came with the angled coupler which was a huge plus because I has no idea what I needed until I received it.
Power Source	Does not fit a new Giant Contend road bike. The lock washer does not fit. The photo attached (without using the lock washer) shows a gap that cannot close when the axle is tightened. I would need some kind of crescent shaped washer to make it work and even then I don’t feel it would be safe.
