| Model Number | I bought this used to connect a 2005 instep pathfinder I got for $3. As other reviews have stated, the 1″ square connector is the right size for the pathfinder, but the shaft is about 1/8″ too long so the hole for the pin to go in won’t line up. So you will have to shave off a little bit at the end of the hitch. It’s steel, so a hacksaw won’t be much fun. I’d recommend an angle grinder with a metal cutoff wheel. Took me about a minute to cut through and while it wasn’t pretty it worked. Otherwise the bracket itself fits nice and tight to my seat post. I haven’t had any problems with it twisting or losing its grip. If it does, there is a hole at the front of the clamp that you could drill a hole into your seat post and insert a screw. |
| Color | I mFor those that could not fit their co-pilot into this here is what I did: after aligning it properly I struggled getting in as well so I hit it a few times with a soft rubber mallet till the holes for the clamp we’re almost aligned as soon as I could put an Allen key through the two pieces it was easy to align them perfectly so the clamp bolt could get through. The trailer mounted fine and performed great.All and all, We shouldn’t have to jerry rig a product to work as it’s designed, but if y’all end up struggling, this is what worked for me. Then after our first ride it was much easier to get in the second time after being “broken in “. Hope this helps someone. |
