Model Number	Finally a good bike trailer that quickly attaches to the seatpost not the rear axle. I use it for carbon-free landscaping and it works great. Two things to know….. It can cary way more than 80lbs and a trick for the attachment. Rotate it clockwise half a turn and attach to seatpost connector with the Orange release button on the bottom. This tightens the spring and in heavier loads keeps it from sagging as much which makes it want to unlock.
Color	Was a little hesitate on this purchase because I usually don’t buy items off amazon this pricey & more of a DYI guy…but man is this thing AWESOME! When I was looking around I didn’t like the typical dog carriers because the ‘enclosure’ idea due seemed like heat trouble & lack of view for my boy ‘Hoops’ was discouraged – rigging this up seemed like an alternative to those cons.With a few additions after assembly the dream was achieved, now my 13yr old bud and I have cracked up a lot of people in the neighborhood. (especially when I turn on the rope lights tied along the trailer frame on at night hehe)I’ve had the trailer for two months now so figured that was long enough to form a decent opinion.The product itself:- Putting together was mostly smooth, instructions could have been a little clearer but if you’re comfortable with tools you’ll be fine [hex bolt alert – go get the bit to speed things up]- When securing the ‘spring axles’ for tires do not overexert! I did, snapped the clip, and impaled my hand with exposed end. But now I’ve got a cool hand scar so…yeah sure go for it! (kidding.)- When you fasten attachment ‘clip’ to bike make sure the red button isn’t pressed against the bottom of your seat, this can release the connection and leave the trailer behind…..not that I know what that’s like or anything…- Another note on attachment: How high your bike seat is will determine the slope in the trailer ‘bed.’ Since my cruiser bike is on the lower side, the bed leans forward – but with my travel bike it’s level since the seat is higher (really just an aside for pet’s comfort in travel haha)- The ‘weak point’ of the assembly is the bottom nut that fastens the attachment arm to trailer body beneath the trailer bed. Go ahead and replace the bolt they give you with a longer thread, that’s what I ended up having to do because I wore through the ‘stock’ one in about a month.- As for driving, don’t get overconfident from onlookers and bank too hard around a corner. The location of attachment arm presents the opportunity for trailer to flip and dump out items in such a situation…not that I know what that’s like or anything…Otherwise this is a great purchase! 🙂 Just go ahead and get it if you have an remote interest haha
Material	I purchased this before Christmas and before they updated the listing with pictures and better descriptions. It was originally listed as attaching to the hub of the bike and not to the seat post. But based upon conflicting product pictures, and some poorly-cropped photos of it connected to a bike I couldn’t confirm it was a seat-post design and no one could answer this question for me. I even found the manufacturer’s website and called the company and spoke to a real person and they told me that “it says it attaches to the frame by the wheel”. I told them it had to attach to the seat post based upon the primary picture they had online, but I wanted to know if it turns out that it didn’t, could I return it. Their only response was that I could only return it if it was defective.Bottom line, I took the risk, but I bought it through Amazon and not their website because I figured I could return it based upon a defective and incomplete description. I was happy to discover that the description and their customer service was wrong and the that it came with a seat-post mount like I wanted.Based upon my experience, I would give it 5 stars for the product, but only 3 stars for the organization and helpfulness of the company so I averaged them out to 4 stars.
Power Source	This is really a great value. I put it behind my fat tire e-bike to haul everything from groceries to garage sale finds to chairs and a cooler to the music festival (no on-site care parking but they have on-site bike parking!). I live in a small town and I love using my bike for errands around town, saving gas and wear-n-tear on my vehicles……..plus helping my waistline. :-)Assembly is easy and the hardware is decent. To use on my fat-bike with my pannier rack, I extended the yoke tube with some conduit. I also cut some corrugated plastic and zip-tied it to the frame to be able to hold smaller items that might fall out between the bars on the side walls. If you’re going to use it at night, I’d recommend some reflective tape on the side tubes and a flashing light on the hind end.
